Electronic Modification Process
Configuration Management Interface System (CMIS)
CMIS assists engineers with the process of creating Engineering Change Packages
(ECPs), Calculations, and Temporary Modifications (TMs) and is set up to
maximize automation of data sharing, data fidelity, and timesavings. In
addition, CMIS also supports interfaces with other site organizations to
perform interface evaluations as well as supporting the creation of Affected
Document Lists and Interim Drawing Change Notices (IDCNs).
Key Features
-
Integration with work management software such as EWMS/li>
-
Capture data correctly the first time; auto population of forms prevents data
entry errors
-
Standardize ECPs at a single site or across the fleet
-
Save time by automating traditional "cut & paste" activities
-
Available forms are presented in a simple matrix format flagging required
versus optional forms and their status
Process Management
-
Transform traditionally distinct functions into a seamless integrated process
-
Information is linked versus copied, assuring data integrity while providing a
quick reference to where information is applied.
-
Improve the interface & review process by incorporating all data in a
single location
-
Support multiple individuals working on the same ECP by utilizing a check out,
check in functionality on all forms
Smart Interface Forms
-
Incorporate your Lessons Learned into a convenient questionnaire
-
Take responses and build custom interface documents with subject matter, expert
bullets for consideration, and a table to list affected documents &
programs
-
Compile the multiple responses and roll up all affected documents into a single
list
Fast & Powerful ECPs
-
By filling out one questionnaire, CMIS will automatically perform the following
tasks:
- Determine which DIE's are needed
- Generate the Affected Docs list
- Push the form to the correct department for review
-
Easily associate a single change into multiple Implementation Packages for
installation flexibility (mechanical vs. electrical) or to apply against
similar assets (Train A & B)
-
Clone an existing ECP into a new one as the basis for designing a similar
modification
-
Duplicate an Implementation Package to create multiple packages for similar
assets
